Launching International Film Experience AU
International Film Experience AU is an independent Melbourne-based initiative exploring cross-cultural film production and creative collaboration.
Our focus is simple:
creating real film environments where emerging creatives can experience how independent cinema is actually made.
Projects may include:
• Short film productions • Screen acting opportunities • Portfolio film projects • Collaboration with international filmmakers
The goal is to create small but meaningful film works that travel across cultures and festival circuits.

Public Milestones
Feature Film in Production
A new feature film is currently in production within the Cross Encounters framework, marking a significant step in the continued development of a cross-cultural, author-led screen practice.
Positioned within an international film context, the project extends an ongoing exploration of
embodied screen performance, migration, and female subjectivity,
not only as narrative themes, but as foundations for a developing cinematic language.
Emerging from Chinese–Australian cinema, this work reflects a trajectory that moves beyond performing stories —
towards shaping the language of embodiment on screen.
At its core, the project brings together:
– performance grounded in internal action rather than external display
– a convergence of authorship, cultural perspective, and screen presence
– a sustained inquiry into how body, silence, and perception construct meaning
This milestone also reflects a broader practice in which
performance, authorship, and theoretical development intersect within a single artistic framework.
